Angela is a member of Wilps ‘Wii Goob’l of the Lax See’l clan. Her Gitxsan name is Hla goothl gan, which mean the Heart of the Tree. One of Angela’s happiest moments was when she got her dog, a Chinese Shar pei in July of 2008, that she named Tuzzi. Her parents didn’t want a dog, but they fell in love with him after they got to know him, and now they spoil him.
Angela enjoys her job because she loves meeting people and enjoys the interaction with GCFSS staff, which is a fun-filled group of people that do many enjoyable things for our youth and community. Angela is concerned about our community and territory because of the problems our youth are having and the leadership and guidance that is being provided for them.
Angela hopes to see all of the generations working together to make our communities healthy and fun. She would also like to see more Gitxsan culture and language being integrated into the programs and in the community. In the future, Angela wants to be a positive role model for youth.
